Picker's Diary: Romeo Monday 18 April It's Day One and this week's Picker intends to treat the apartment like his home, and the game like a holiday. And why not? (As long as he finds the True Single while he's at it). Here's Romeo's first daily diary done shortly after arriving in the apartment: "I'm feeling pretty relaxed. I'm pretty anxious to see what's planned for the next four days. In my head I'm sitting working out my gameplan and trying to suss out the female contestants straight away, as opposed to waiting three or four days, I'm trying to do it straight away. Deep down I'm feeling relaxed, chilled, mellow, I'm just getting on with it. This house is like my house, so I'm just doing my thing basically. Everyone seems pretty down to earth, pretty relaxed, pretty cool, but I've only just met them. True colours tend to show in time, so I'll get back to you with my thoughts on the contestants. I've only done one task up until now, and it went alright. I had to cut up a few dresses. One member - Leana - she got quite pissed, the rest of them was cool. The buzzers went off quite quick so obviously the boyfriends was pressing the buzzer and that, so we'll have to see on that one. There's a few mistakes. We've got people that are too shy, we've got people who are saying the wrong things but to be honest, I don't want to give it away at the moment, I'm going to give them a chance to redeem themselves before I pinpoint any mistakes right now. Claire's made one mistake, I remember pinpointing it, she was telling me if she does win the money, she's going on holiday with a friend, I mean come on, I'm not a kid, obviously it leads me to believe she's got a boyfriend, but you know, I can't rule her out just yet. But I'd say Rachael's made the biggest mistake so far by not standing up and saying 'I'm the True Single', by not defending herself. First impressions do count. My plan is just to play laid back, play smooth, play constantly in their face, bugging them, trying to pick up on little flaws and basically to stay on it, but at the same time play it a little bit forgetful so I can ask the same questions over and over again, and just pretend I forgot what they said. Hopefully I'll catch someone out that way, you never know. At the moment there's one person that stands out with me [as the True Single] and that's Hannah. Leana's standing out a little bit but I'm not sure. But Hannah's definitely standing out as she seems pretty confident and consistent, and nobody else is backing her into a corner, everyone else is having it, so it seems that she's controlling stuff at the moment. I'm in the house with four lovely ladies, free drink, free food. What more could I ask for?"

Cut It Out Monday 18 April Romeo has taken a pair of scissors to the girlfriends' best outfits in order to flush out the True Single. Charging the boyfriends with the job of pressing the buzzer when they thought he should stop cutting up the girls' clothes, Romeo informed the girls of the task. "The only one that can stop me doing this is your boyfriends," he told them, as the boys watched on from the Spy Side, their fingers poised above the buzzer. Rachael's dress was the first to be set upon. "I'll start with the label," Romeo offered, giving her boyfriend the chance to put a stop to the scissoring. And no sooner had he snipped the label from the dress, than Nevin buzzed in. Leana's denim skirt was next under the steel. "A slit up the front, don't worry they're nice scissors, man," Romeo said, cutting into the front of the skirt. As Leana squirmed, Romeo attempted to placate her with assurances of the advantages of his design, "easy access, easy access," he insisted as he slit the front of the mini, the buzzer going off soon after. Claire's stripy dress was third in line and as Romeo wielded his scissors in its direction, True Single Claire pleaded, "No Romeo, please." "I've got to do what I've got to do," the Picker told her, but thankfully the boyfriends had decided to double bluff and the buzzer went off before Romeo managed to do any harm. Finally it was the turn of Hannah's black top to get 'Romeo'd' - and with a snip snip here and a snip snip there, he removed the label from the top and the buckles from the skirt before boyfriend Jack sounded the buzzer. So, what did Romeo Scissorhands surmise from the task? "Hannah, she wasn't too upset, she definitely stands a chance... she does look single for some reason." "Rachael: The buzzer went off quite quick and she seems very quiet so there's a lot to learn about her." "[Liana] got the most pissed out of all of them and that could show she's the True Single." "Claire. [The buzzer went off very quickly] The boys could be trying to set her up." It's anyone's game.

Spy Side Secrets: Different Views Tuesday 19 April After watching from the Spy Side for two days, we asked the boys what they thought of their girlfriends' performances. Here's what they had to say: How are you feeling today? Anthony (Leana's boyfriend): Ready and motivated. Jack (Hannah's boyfriend): Lovely! Looking forward to seeing what went on last night [in the bedroom]. Nevin (Rachael's boyfriend): Quite refreshed, and ready to go. Feel a lot more relaxed today. Is the Spy Side as you expected? What's the same, what's different? Anthony (Leana's boyfriend): Yeah, it is the same and so's the objective of the game. Jack (Hannah's boyfriend): It's a lot more pally and the time flies past. I thought there would be a lot more chances to create an atmosphere between us. Nevin (Rachael's boyfriend): It's not exactly how I imagined it, it's a lot bigger on TV. The beds are nice though! Who do you think your girlfriend's doing so far? Has she made any mistakes? Anthony (Leana's boyfriend): She is doing great. Gameplan is working very well. Jack (Hannah's boyfriend): I think Hannah is doing really well so far. She hasn't made any mistakes. By the end of today, it should be in the bag! Nevin (Rachael's boyfriend): She started off well, but like Romeo keeps saying 'she's far too quiet for a Bournemouth girl' - she needs to liven up. Were you surprised by Romeo picking Claire for the bedroom choice? Anthony (Leana's boyfriend): Yeah, a bit surprised but he picked her so he can get into her head. She is the weakness I feel. Jack (Hannah's boyfriend): I think he has already ruled out Rachael and had doubts about Claire, so I was not surprised when he took her into the room. Nevin (Rachael's boyfriend): I wasn't surprised, but think that it was the worst person he could have picked on the first day. Who do you think Romeo thinks is the True Single? Anthony (Leana's boyfriend): My girlfriend and possibly Claire maybe. Jack (Hannah's boyfriend): Hannah or Leana. Nevin (Rachael's boyfriend): Claire.

Picker's Diary: The Girls Tuesday 19 April It's the second day in the apartment and Romeo's feeling good. Here's what he had to say on the girls: "Ok, Romeo's diary... right now my thoughts are... I'm just more relaxed than anything else. I'm doing what I usually do. I feel comfortable in this scenario around all these ladies. I reckon Leana is confident, she said to me basically that she's always right and a dominant person but right now that's not showing. With Hannah, she's very confident, she seems like she's the smartest person in there, she's got her gameplan to a tee. You never know though, she might have consulted with her boyfriend. With Rachael, she's from Bournmouth and she's not as much of a party girl as I thought she would have been, but you never know, personalities tend to shine in the last few days. With Claire, we spent last night together and she was a bit...frigid if you ask me, she kept herself to herself, she wasn't very affectionate, she seemed like she was worried more than anything else. This leads me to believe that she might have a boyfriend, but on the other hand she might genuinely be the single one and just have a lot of respect for herself and for the way she comes across on TV. I reckon that's her biggest worry at the moment, how she comes across on TV. I think the front runners are definitely Hannah and Claire right now. That's it."

Barefaced Lies Tuesday 19 April The boyfriends have been secretly filmed in the shower and the footage shown to Romeo and the girls. Cheeky. As the Picker and the singles sat in the living room, the plasma screen flickered into life and revealed a naked Jack in the shower. "Love handles," blurted Claire immediately. As the gang watched on, Romeo demanded that the girls rate the boys. "Six or seven," Hannah judged boyfriend Jack. Romeo also wanted to know who Jack's girlfriend might be and Hannah was eager to suggest True Single, Claire. Nevin was next to appear in his birthday suit. "He's well skinny," Leana yelled as soon as she clapped eyes on Rachael's boyfriend. "He's got a nice bum," Claire decided, as Rachael stayed more or less schtum and Romeo surmised that he could well be her beau. Finally Anthony's nakedness stepped into the frame and he could be seen donning some fetching pink exfoliating gloves to shower in. "Snap," Romeo chuckled in Leana's direction, matching Anthony to her. "Just cos he's black, doesn't mean nothing," Leana said defensively, as the rest of the girls laughed at the man showering in pink gloves. Once the screen was switched off, Romeo headed to the Confessional. "After playing that game, Claire came across as the single... she definitely stands out at the moment, but it's between Claire and Hannah," he revealed.

Spy Side Secrets: Highs And Lows Wednesday 20 April It's often the case that the Spy Siders start to feel out of control during the middle of the game, and this week is no exception. Yesterday Romeo and the girls saw footage of the boys in the shower and it's left the lads wondering whether their covers have been blown. We caught up with the three lads to ask them how they were doing and whether their strategies needed looking at: How are you feeling today? Anthony (Leana's boyfriend): A bit less confident due to the game yesterday. Jack (Hannah's boyfriend): I'm in a strop. I have the right dog on, so I hope Hannah did well last night to cheer me up! Nevin (Rachael's boyfriend): Not as confident as yesterday. Starting to feel as if it's all slipping away in front of me. How is your strategy working out? Have you had to change it? Anthony (Leana's boyfriend): Yes I did. I had to change it because of yesterday's game. Jack (Hannah's boyfriend): I haven't had to change my strategy but there is a bit more of an atmosphere now so I will have to find a way to mess it up for the others now. Nevin (Rachael's boyfriend): To be honest, I'm not even sure what Rachael's strategy is!! She hasn't even told me. Mine is just to win. What's the funniest thing you've seen so far in the apartment? Anthony (Leana's boyfriend): Probably the video of the Spies in the bathroom and the comments [from the girls]. Jack (Hannah's boyfriend): The girls having the row was quite funny. Nevin (Rachael's boyfriend): Probably the size of Anthony's arse in the towel. It was bigger than the old woman's from Tom and Jerry! What's the most annoying thing you've seen so far in the apartment? Anthony (Leana's boyfriend): Claire's annoying questions. And also Rachael always saying she is from Bournemouth. Jack (Hannah's boyfriend): Just Claire in general. Nevin (Rachael's boyfriend): The way that Rachael is just being quiet. And letting them all get their way with Romeo, and when they tried to say Rachael said she got the train when she didn't say that. Who do you think Romeo thinks is the True Single? Anthony (Leana's boyfriend): Claire or Hannah. Jack (Hannah's boyfriend): Claire or Hannah. Nevin (Rachael's boyfriend): Either Claire or Hannah.

Picker's Diary: Runners And Riders Wednesday 20 April It's the third day in the apartment and Romeo thinks that from his stable of four girls, only two are still in the race. "Right now I'm feeling a bit tired, a bit knackered. It's 11.00am in the morning but to be honest with you, I didn't catch much sleep last night... but it's all ok. Unfortunately with the other contestants it's still a bit up in the air at the moment. Rachael is still really quiet, she's behind in the whole race. I'd say Leana's 100 metres ahead of her. If it was an 800 metre race, Hannah and Claire would be in the last 200 metres right now, burning it out neck and neck, so that's sort of how I feel. Everyone's pretty friendly. There's no animosity between them and me, but there is some between Claire and Hannah. The task went quite quickly but thoughts of it are still lingering around, where they had to look on the video screens. Hannah got very frustrated and very nervous about the whole situation. Claire stood out very dominant. My strategy today is just to put it on them thick. Obviously there's not much love flying around this house. We need to get some love flying around and just see how they respond to it basically. I think the True Single... I still think Claire's the front-runner at this stage...

Strip Poker Wednesday 20 April Romeo has instigated a game of strip poker and sent True Single Claire into a rage. Laying out the playing cards in front of him, Romeo told the girls that it was the boyfriends who would have to guess whether the next card would be higher or lower for each girl. It they got it wrong, the girl in question would have to remove an item of clothing, of Romeo's choice. Hannah was first up and thankfully for her, she was spared having to remove her skirt by boyfriend Jack's ability to guess the next card. Leana then lost her jacket following boyfriend Anthony's wrong guess, but all other garments remained in place. Unlike the other boys who played to win, Nevin seemed eager to have his girlfriend, Rachael, lose as many clothes as possible. So, she ended up losing both her jacket and her top, leaving Romeo to compliment the bra-clad Bournmouth lass, "you've got a beautiful figure, man." "Pick me later [for the bedroom] and you'll see," Rachael promised. Claire was up next and when the boyfriends guessed wrongly for her, Romeo instructed, "take off your skirt." "I'm not taking it off," Claire told him sharply. "Take your top off then," Romeo suggested instead, which she duly did, but losing on the next card, she once again refused to reveal her legs. And with that, the game was over, leaving Claire to scurry to her bed and hide under the covers. "Claire, you didn't take off your dress, so why you in a mood?" Romeo wanted to know. "I don't want to be around this, I just want to leave," Claire told him angrily. "You said no, noone said you had to do it...," Hannah told her, "... some people would come on here and would [take off their skirt] but we know you wouldn't." When, a while later, Claire was still upset Romeo offered, "If I apologise, would that help?" but the True Single remained adamant it would not. However, despite all this, Romeo picked Claire as his bedroom selection for a second time and as the two lay in bed, Romeo asked, "So, if you are the True Single, are you going to kiss a black man for the first time?" And, unlike the skirt incident, Claire didn't refuse this request and the pair locked lips.

Spy Side Secrets: The Final Furlong Thursday 21 April It's the last day and the boyfriends' time in the apartment is drawing to a close. So how's it been? We caught up with the boys for the last time: How are you feeling today? Anthony (Leana's boyfriend): Ok. Jack (Hannah's boyfriend): Looking forward to seeing who stayed in the bedroom last night! Still feeling reasonably confident about winning. Nevin (Rachael's boyfriend): Tired. Also wanting to find out who went in the bedroom. Have you learnt anything new about your girlfriend while watching her in action? Anthony (Leana's boyfriend): She is a very intelligent individual and also very sexy - which I already knew. Jack (Hannah's boyfriend): She is a much better actor than I thought! Nevin (Rachael's boyfriend): Only that she goes all quiet when she's around cameras. How's it been living in such close quarters with the other boyfriends? Anthony (Leana's boyfriend): It's ok if you can relate to them. Jack (Hannah's boyfriend): It has been a really good crack as we all get on but obviously it's not natural to spend that much time with other boys so I will be glad to get out. Nevin (Rachael's boyfriend): It's been ok. We've all got on quite well. If you had your time over again, what would you do the same? What would you do differently? Anthony (Leana's boyfriend): Nothing. Jack (Hannah's boyfriend): I think I would do everything the same. I would have warned Hannah that Claire was going to get upset after the game so she could have pounced on her quicker. Nevin (Rachael's boyfriend): I'd make sure that Rachael went in a completely different person, more like the real Rachael. Who do you think Romeo will pick as the True Single? Anthony (Leana's boyfriend): Claire. Jack (Hannah's boyfriend): Hannah or Claire. Nevin (Rachael's boyfriend): Claire.

Picker's Diary: Keep On Keeping On Thursday 21 April He may be a bit jaded after being holed up with four girls for four days, but Romeo's still in it to win it. Here's his last diary entry before choosing the True Single in a few hours time: "Right now I'm feeling a bit drained mentally because I've hardly had any time to myself in this house and it's doing my nut in basically! But, at the same time I'm very excited and I can't wait to see what happens during the process of today. There's a lot of rivalry that's going on right now, a lot of true colours are tending to show. Claire's been more potent throughout the whole show, Hannah's more genuine, Leana's been consistent and hasn't made any slip-ups, and Rachael's been the quietest. Looks wise, Claire's more my cup of tea. Personality wise, Leana's my cup of tea. Hannah, I would have to say domesticatedly, she's my ideal cos she was up till one o'clock last night cleaning! Rachael I would say is my ideal partner cos she's a freeeeeeeeeak (laughs). They've have made loads of mistakes in the game, loads. I can't really explain them off the top of my head, but there have been loads. Tune into the show for the mistakes! I chose Claire for the bedroom again last night. The reason I chose Claire was to mix up the whole game because everyone thought I was going to choose Rachael and a few people should be on edge right now if they are the True Single, so I'm going to wait and see if that shows and if it doesn't, then you know, that's how it goes, innit. My strategy is just to sit back and relax today and watch everyone go at it. I don't really need to say anything because it's going to happen anyway, it's going to kick off. I would say the True Single is, at the moment, it's between Hannah and Claire, but Hannah's leading the way slightly today for some reason. I don't know why."

Who Is It? Thursday 21 April The final hours of the game have been a veritable rollercoaster for Romeo and with just hours to go, he's still a zillion miles away from a decision. Romeo had hoped that a game of snog chicken might set the True Single apart from the other girlfriends, particularly as the boyfriends had to buzz in to decide when the snogs should stop. "Show me that you are the True Single, don't hold back," he instructed the girls. But, after Rachael had ravaged his tonsils for what seemed like decades, and the rest of the girls had given perfunctory performances, Romeo was still no closer to the truth. Later on, while the girls and Romeo were all in the garden, Claire asked Hannah "why are you in here?" "For the ten grand, why do you think?" Hannah responded. A few minutes of yelping then ensued as Claire gloated, "busted" at Hannah's apparent slip-up, and Leana was also vocal in her accusations. As the True Single, she'd only stand to win five grand, not ten grand as she'd suggested. But, refusing to take it lying down, Hannah argued her corner, telling the rest that she'd been referring to Romeo and herself winning ten thousand pounds. And still, Romeo was no warmer. "Hannah made a big, big major slip up," he said in the Confessional soon afterwards, but then went on to say, "Hannah's getting singled out right now and it is due to that slip but then at the same time the True Single would be picked on." Hannah, meanwhile, remained focused. "I like it when we have run-ins because I think that works in my favour when three people are ganging up on me." Is she right? At the moment Romeo is thinking the True Single is Claire... or maybe Hannah, or possibly Rachael. He doubts it's Leana but then again...

Romeo Gets It Wrong Thursday 21 April Despite thinking Claire was the True Single for much of the week, Romeo has picked Hannah in the final minutes of the game... and missed out on the prize. "Before I make my decision I'm going to bring the boys in," Romeo told the girls as they stood on the stairs at the end of the week. Anthony, Jack and Nevin then filed in and stood behind the Picker in silent expectation. "Right, now I'm going to kiss the person on the cheek who I think is the True Single," Romeo told them. He then spent a few seconds staring at the line of girls before heading straight over to Hannah and kissing her. But, before his lips had even left Hannah's cheek, True single Claire marched off the stairs. "Oh my God," she groaned as she departed, flopping on to a nearby bed with her head in her hands. "Mug, mug," she smarted. Looking slightly surprised but taking it on the chin, Romeo suggested a round of applause for winner Hannah. "That's f*****g brilliant," Hannah's boyfriend, Jack, grinned, holding the £10,000 prize money. In the Confessional afterwards, Romeo was pragmatic about losing out, and sat by True Single Claire, he said, "to be honest, Hannah did play a good game and she is the best female liar in the whole..." But, before he'd managed to get his sentence out, Claire walked off angrily for a second time that evening. Oh dear. Next week: Can Jodie do it again?

Spy Side Secrets: Time To Fool Around Monday 18 April It's Day One and the boyfriends have arrived on the Spy Side. We caught up with the lads to find out why they came on the show and what they most fear the cameras seeing: What will your girlfriend think of being in the apartment with Romeo? Anthony (Leana's boyfriend): It's a bit easier and more comfortable because she relates to his music and is familiar with him. Jack (Hannah's boyfriend): She will like the fact that he is a player as she is confident with her strategies and they would go well with his personality. Nevin (Rachael's boyfriend): Probably quite pleased. What made you come on Fool Around? Anthony: A good experience and to outsmart everyone. Jack: Hannah made me! Nevin: The £10,000 prize money. What is your plan with regard to the other Spy Siders? Anthony: Be the original wolf in sheep's clothing. Jack: I will stay as friendly as possible but try to stitch them up when the least expect it. Nevin: Go with the flow and win. What's the worst thing the camera could see? Anthony: Leana sucking her fingers. Jack: My girlfriend naked with Romeo! Nevin: Rachael sleeping with Romeo.

May 11th - Brokeback Romeo.
Hello dear readers, and welcome to another exciting installment of "Romeo's Diarrhea!"....sorry, I meant "Diary".
Well, today a funny thing happened. I was waiting in line at McDonalds to get my chicken nuggets, when a dashing young man came up to me. He looked me up & down, clearly liking what he saw, then asked "are you Romeo? star of that Lynx commercial song and some channel 4 s*it no-one watched?".
And I said "for sure, homes. Whats the schnizzle?"
And he said "I fancy you!"
And I was like "Whoa nigga, Romeo's all about tha pusssy. Aint no man biatch penetrating ma gary hole."
And he said "oh, thats cool. ho harm in asking" and went off on his merry way. Close call there, and for a moment, I have to tell you, I was tempted. But remember folks, Romeo is all about the pusssy.
(having said that, I'll nosh on a bit of man meat if the price is right, you know. This record schnizzle aint really working out. Just dont cum on the hair. Anywhere but the hair.)
