Blazin’ Squad ‘All Night Long’
Release Date: 18th September 2006
BLAZIN’ SQUAD ARE BACK WITH A MASSIVE SUMMER TUNE…
More than two years since Blazin’ Squad released their last hit single ‘Here 4 One’, the boys are back with their fresh new summer smash ‘All Night Long’ a perfect song for the long hot summer nights and partying until the sun comes up.
Marcel (Plat’num), Stuart (Reepa), Sam (Spike-e) and Chris (Melo-D) are the remaining members of the original group who scored their first number one single back in 2002 with their debut single ‘Crossroads’. The school friends went on to become one of the UK’s most successful home grown acts and gain themselves a further 5 top ten singles, two gold status albums in the UK and ended their 2004 live arena tour with a massive performance at Wembley Arena to thousands of screaming fans.
Whilst Kenzie went on to star in Celebrity Big Brother and subsequently form Friday Hill with two of the original ‘Squad members, Plat’num took a break from recording the new album to impress the nation on Channel 4’s The Games, coming 2nd to Jade Jones and notching up an incredible time in the 100m sprint of 12.33 seconds in the process.
Back in the studio Plat’num, Reepa, Spike-e and Melo-D have been working with Si Hulbert (Jungle Bros, Rosie Gaines, Professor Green, Friday Hill & Studio B) and ‘Flip Reverse’ producers Snowflake (Friday Hill, Lemar, Jamelia, Keisha White, HQ & Hi Life) and the first taster of the new album is ‘All Night Long’.
"The first single is a real party track. We've already performed it at some recent gigs and had a great reaction from the audience. The album has a wicked mix of songs - more up tempo songs as well as some beautiful ballads. As well as rapping we're also doing a lot more singing too!" – Plat’num
Blazin’ Squad will be performing their new material on summer road shows and will be announcing live dates shortly.
